MSME Pavilion at ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Utsav 2024’ Showcases ‘PM Vishwakarma’ Theme

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has unveiled its pavilion at the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Utsav 2024,’ held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The pavilion, situated in Hall No. 5, is dedicated to the “PM Vishwakarma” theme. Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister of State (MSME), inaugurated the pavilion in the presence of senior ministry officials.

The theme revolves around the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, a comprehensive initiative supporting traditional artisans and craftspeople, known as ‘Vishwakarmas.’ The participating enterprises cover a diverse array of sectors, including textiles, handloom, embroidery, custom tailoring, handicrafts, gems and jewelry, leather footwear, games and toys, bamboo crafts, furniture, ceramics, pottery, food products, cosmetics, chemical products, mechanical items, and more.

The stalls are strategically allocated to represent different States/Union Territories and economic sectors, aligning with the flagship PM Vishwakarma Scheme launched by the Ministry on September 17, 2023. In line with the scheme’s inclusive approach, a significant number of stalls are reserved for categories such as SC/STs, women, and Divyangs, accounting for half of the total allocation. Admission to the exhibition is free, allowing a wide audience to explore and celebrate India’s self-reliance.
