India International Science Festival 2023 Unveils Promo and Brochure in Faridabad Event
A sneak peek into the India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023 unfolded at a Curtain Raiser Event in Faridabad, Haryana. Organized by various departments including the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, IISF-2023 is set to take place at the DBT Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) – Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) campus in Faridabad from January 17 to 20, 2024.
The festival’s theme, “Science and Technology Public Outreach in Amrit Kaal,” is geared towards celebrating and showcasing achievements in the realms of science, technology, and innovations in India.
Higher Education and Transport Minister of Haryana, Shri Moolchand Sharma, graced the event as the chief guest. He expressed his delight in Faridabad being chosen as the host city for IISF 2023 and highlighted the positive impact it would have, especially benefiting schoolchildren from the region. Shri Sharma assured the government’s full support to make IISF 2023 a resounding success.
Ms. Dhanalakshmi, Joint Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, provided insights into the venue selection process and praised the progress made in preparing the venue for the festival.
Dr. Shiv Kumar Sharma, National Organising Secretary, Vijnana Bharati, shared the journey of Vijnana Bharati and its efforts to bring science closer to the public.
The event witnessed the release of the IISF 2023 promo film and brochure, unveiling glimpses of the upcoming festival.
Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya, Dean and Executive Director (Additional Charge), expressed gratitude, acknowledging the support from various authorities and the hard work put in by THSTI in developing the IISF 2023 venue. He hoped the festival would leave a lasting impact on Faridabad and Haryana.
The IISF 2023 promises to be a platform celebrating science, technology, and innovation, fostering public engagement and awareness.
