Karnataka’s Daily COVID-19 Update – 297 New Cases


In its latest COVID-19 daily abstract, the Government of Karnataka’s Department of Health & Family Welfare reports 297 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 4,092,134. With a total of 320 discharges in the same period, the state has witnessed a consistent effort in managing active cases, which currently stand at 1,136.

District-wise, Bengaluru Urban continues to be a hotspot with 171 new cases, contributing to the district’s total of 1,888,967. Other districts like Mysuru and Hassan report 26 and 12 new cases, respectively, indicating the need for continued vigilance.

The state emphasizes the importance of Whole Genome Sequencing, with 601 samples sent for analysis, detecting various variants.
