- Semiconductor Manufacturing Gets a Boost: Four new semiconductor manufacturing units were approved in India under the Semicon India Programme, bolstering domestic chip production.
- India Leads the Way in Global AI Governance: India assumed the outgoing chair position of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) after hosting the 6th ministerial council meeting in New Delhi.
- Skill Development for the Future: Nine projects promoting electronics manufacturing and semiconductor production were approved under the SPECS scheme, with the potential to generate over 15,700 jobs.
- Bridging the Digital Divide: The Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (PMGDISHA) surpassed its target, training over 6.39 crore individuals in rural areas.
- Skilling for Diverse Populations: Specialised skill development training was provided to over 18,000 SC/ST and EWS (Women) youth in aspirational districts to equip them for employment and entrepreneurship in the electronics sector.
- BHASHINI: Making Digital Services Accessible in Local Languages: With over 50 stakeholders onboard and 100 million+ inferences per month, BHASHINI’s translation services in 22 scheduled Indian languages are bridging the language gap for digital inclusion.
- Strengthening Research Capabilities: Prime Minister Modi launched three PARAM Rudra supercomputers to boost research in physics, earth sciences, and cosmological studies.
