PM Modi to Unveil Ayodhya’s Transformation: Inauguration, Foundation Stones, and More Worth Over Rs 15,700 Crore

New Delhi, December 28, 2023 – Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on December 30, 2023. The visit will witness the inauguration, dedication to the nation, and laying of foundation stones for multiple transformative projects collectively valued at more than Rs 15,700 crore.

The day’s schedule kicks off around 11:15 AM with the Prime Minister inaugurating the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, flagging off new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, and dedicating various railway projects to the nation. At 12:15 PM, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Ayodhya Airport.

The highlight of the day is the public program at 1 PM, where the Prime Minister will unveil and lay the foundation stone for development projects valued at over Rs 15,700 crore. These projects include a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing civic facilities, developing world-class infrastructure, and preserving the rich heritage of Ayodhya.

Key projects to be inaugurated include the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station and the state-of-the-art Ayodhya Airport. The airport’s terminal building, costing over Rs 1450 crore, boasts a unique facade reflecting the architectural design of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir. It is equipped with modern amenities, sustainable features, and showcases local art depicting the life of Bhagwan Shri Ram.

In addition to transportation upgrades, the Prime Minister will inaugurate four newly redeveloped roads in Ayodhya to improve accessibility to the Shri Ram Mandir. These roads, namely Rampath, Bhaktipath, Dharampath, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path, are widened and beautified.

Further enriching the city’s civic infrastructure, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects like the Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College, a four-lane road connecting Ayodhya-Sultanpur Road-Airport, and several beautified roads across the city. Additionally, three railway projects worth Rs 2300 crore will strengthen rail infrastructure in the region.

Foundation stones will be laid for various initiatives contributing to the city’s beautification and development, including the conservation and beautification of historical entrance gates, new concrete ghats, and the development of tourist facilities along the riverfront.

A greenfield township in Ayodhya, a residential scheme, and various other projects with a cumulative cost of over Rs 2180 crore will see their foundation stones laid by the Prime Minister.

The transformative day in Ayodhya will not only rejuvenate the city’s civic amenities but also contribute significantly to the region’s economic growth, tourism, and cultural preservation. The diverse range of projects reflects the Prime Minister’s vision of a modern, well-connected Ayodhya that cherishes its rich historical and cultural heritage.
