In a notable achievement, Terminal-2 (T2) of Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru has been bestowed with the prestigious title of one of the ‘World’s Most Beautiful Airports.’ This commendation comes as the UNESCO’s Prix Versailles has conferred upon it the ‘World Special Prize for an Interior 2023,’ according to an announcement by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) on Thursday.
Spanning an impressive 2,55,661 square meters, Terminal-2 stands as a testament to architectural excellence, with its design principles grounded in four key pillars: technological leadership, a harmonious fusion of terminal and garden aesthetics, a commitment to environmental and ecological stewardship, and a vibrant celebration of Karnataka’s rich heritage and culture, as elucidated by BIAL.
