As “Animal” concludes its theatrical journey, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer witnessed a significant dip in box office collections, marking ₹5 crore on its twentieth day. The anticipation is for Thursday’s numbers to further decrease, given the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film, “Dunki,” and the impending arrival of Prabhas’ “Salaar” on Friday. The film experienced 11.58% occupancy for Hindi shows and 18.19% for Telugu shows, according to reports.
Globally, “Animal” has garnered close to ₹850 crore gross in its nearly three-week run, solidifying its position among the highest-grossing Indian films of the year. Despite its financial success, the movie has faced criticism for its alleged misogynistic and excessively violent content, a stance that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has vehemently disagreed with.
The star-studded cast, featuring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri, contributed to the film’s box office success. The nett India collection for “Animal” currently stands at ₹528.69 crore.
