New Delhi, [Date]: The Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) is set to commemorate Good Governance Day on December 25, 2023, with Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State, leading the inauguration ceremony at North Block, New Delhi. The event will witness the launch of several impactful initiatives aimed at enhancing governance practices and capacity building.
Dr. Jitendra Singh will introduce three new features on the iGOT Karmayogi Platform: My iGOT, Blended Programs, and Curated Programs. My iGOT offers personalized training courses addressing the unique capacity-building needs of individual officers, aligning with the Capacity-Building Plan for their Ministries/Departments. The platform has already garnered over 28 lakh users, providing access to 830 high-quality e-learning courses.
Blended Programs on the iGOT-Karmayogi platform will ensure equitable access to training methodologies across all levels, integrating traditional offline classroom courses with online components. This approach combines the flexibility of online courses with the valuable benefits of face-to-face interactions.
Curated Programs on iGOT Karmayogi cater to diverse learning needs, allowing course providers to curate relevant content, resources, and assessments from the iGOT repository, offering a tailored learning journey.
Additionally, Dr. Jitendra Singh will launch 12 domain-specific capacity-building e-learning courses developed as part of the Annual Capacity Building Plan (ACBP) of the DOPT by the Karmayogi Digital Learning Lab (KDLL). These courses, developed in just two months, directly address the domain competency requirements of civil servants working in DOPT and aid other government organizations in handling functional matters effectively.
A new blended learning program named VIKAS (Variable & Immersive Karmayogi Advanced Support) will also be introduced by Dr. Jitendra Singh, focusing on the capacity building of middle-management civil servants in the Central Secretariat. VIKAS is a comprehensive program consisting of 33 hours on the iGOT platform complemented by 30 hours of offline training at the Indian Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM), emphasizing the development of functional, behavioral, and technological competencies required in the Central Government.
